Bold Iowa is part of the #ExxonKnew campaign, working with a growing network of groups across America to expose Exxon for lying to the public about climate change. In March, 2016, Bold Iowa launched a petition drive calling on Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller to investigate whether Exxon lied to the public for decades about the dire warnings on climate change the company was receiving from its own in-house scientists.

On March 30, 2016, Bold issued a press release announcing its campaign to encourage Attorney General Tom Miller to launch an investigation into Exxon.

In April and May, 2016, Bold Iowa’s #ExxonKnew petition drive garnered over 1,000 signatures.

Between May 17-24, Ed’s op ed on Exxon was published in The Des Moines Register and three other regional dailies.
